Pokemon Update Week 5 Mareep Event!

Happy Saturday Players! Thanks for reading this week’s Pokemon Go update post! This past Sunday was my 2nd experience with the Community Event. This month’s featured Pokemon was Mareep and if you evolved your Flaffy into an Ampharos during the 3 hour window, you would receive the special move Dragon Pulse!

Event: I was super happy when I actually completed the event this time! I have a lovely Ampharos with the special move (evolved literally 5 minutes before the event closed lol). Lucky for me, I had plenty of Pineap Berries which gave a boost in the candies that you would receive from the Mareep’s caught. Ampharos was able to successfully defend a gym at Barnett Park this week. I have received 50 Poke Coins (Max amount) from that defense.

Gym Progress: I was only able to fight and defend one gym this week at Barnett Park. I look to fight in raids and beat other gyms this weekend for my quest progress.

New Pokemon: While I wasn’t that active outside of the Mareep event this week, I was able to catch some new Pokemon due to the Kanto Region influx. For about a week, more Kanto Region (original 150) Pokemon were popping up everywhere.

• New Kanto Region Pokemon- Drowzee, Magnemite, Sandshrew, Machop, Shellder
• Hatched Pokemon- 0 Pokemon were hatched this week
• Evolved Pokemon – I evolved Mareep into Flaafy and Flaafy into Ampharos!
• Best Catch- Solrock and Seviper in the parking lot at work!
• Highest CP – Ampharos!

Reserch Quests:

1. I have 4 out of 6 stamps completed
2. I’m on A Mythical Discovery 3/8 which I plan to complete today

The next Community Event is Charmander and will take place on May 19th! Becuase this event will be on a Saturday, I will be able to participate for the entire 3 hours!
